Slow Motion Experiment

I decided to do an experiment with slow motion, I thought it would be a good idea to do this on the bus as it is moving so will create a good effect when slowed down. I left some footage at the start and end at regular speed so that the slow motion was more effective. I also decided to edit the sound as I wanted to see how difficult it was to do that. It turns out that creating a slow motion effect in Premier Pro is quite easy. Slow motion is used in a lot of music videos and films as it creates a strong effect and helps to make a scene more memorable, it also makes some things more impressive or even shocking, for example if somebody is punched in slow motion (this is common in boxing films, for example the 'Rocky' franchise) it looks a lot more shocking and memorable than a normal punch. Slow motion can also add a sense of intensity or anxiety to a scene.

Media AS to A2 Transition Project (Lip Sync Video)

This was the project we were given in the transitional period between AS and A2, it helped to teach us how to edit in Premier Pro and how to make sure our audio synced with our video. The project taught us some of the technical aspects of the camera as well as how to use some of the accessories that go with the cameras. We also had the chance to experiment with effects which taught us a lot about the editing software. The task helped us learn how difficult it is to film enough footage and how to sort it so that it is easy to find while editing. We also learned how to show a basic narrative in a short period of time and how to include the performance aspect while the narrative is happening.

The narrative of the video was that the character was a male who liked to dress as a woman, it shows how people looked at him and judged him when he walked by but that he didn't care and was comfortable being himself.
